Symbol of the religious history of Carnia, witness of artistic paths of considerable interest, the churches and parishes of Carnia are an occasion for cultural excursions and itineraries for those who wish to discover all aspects of the territory.
- TOLMEZZO
Positioned on Monte Giaideit, at Illegio, the Pieve di San Floriano has a panoramic location, overlooking the But Valley on one side, and, in a direct diagonal, over the Pieve di San Pietro in Zuglio and the Pieve di Santa Maria beyond But in Caneva...

- ZUGLIO
Built in its present form around 1312 in the safest position from the many Barbarian incursions, the Pieve di San Pietro is considered a "matrix", since it is one of the first centres of Christianity in Carnia.

- OVARO
Located near the village of Cella, on a hill, it is one of the oldest churches in Friuli. Its origins date back to the VIII century, but what can be seen today was built in 1431, after a devastating fire.
- TOLMEZZO
Located in Caneva, a village in the municipality of Tolmezzo, the original building was constructed in the XVI century. The successive rebuilding works, carried out in the XVIII and XIX centuries, are visible in the church as it is today.
