Horse riding

On horseback, you can still enjoy to the best the possibility of excursions in Carnia. The Carnia paths generally offer excellent routes for horses and riders: the differences in altitude are never too great, the mule tracks are wide and comfortable, the rivers can be forded without much difficulty and the meadows give excellent pasture. The mountains have gentle, generous slopes. The paths are not steep or rough, but ascend gently and smoothly.

Carnia can offer great excitement such as a weekend on horseback with guides on the paths and among the trenches of the First World War, or a journey through the flavours of butter, ricotta and cheese, always on horseback, along the paths between the small mountain farmhouses of Carnia, in a landscape of matchless beauty which has remained intact.
