The Forni Avoltri area

A perfect holiday resort for those who love long excursions, climbing, naturalistic exploring and mountain biking. The dense network of paths which connect the refuge huts and the mountain farms offer excursions and treks also lasting several days. Precisely for its naturalistic vocation, every year in the month of August, the Forni Avoltri area hosts a lap of the “Tre Rifugi” relay race, one of the most prestigious international mountain relay competitions.

During winter, the main attraction of the area is the International Biathlon Centre, with its world level competitions. Of course, the circuits can also be used for traditional cross country skiing, and there is no shortage of exciting ski mountaineering excursions, or gentler walks on snowshoes through the snow covered woods.
